It is that time of year again when TVA starts to pull down the lake levels. If you are new to Norris Lake you will want to pay close attention to the level of the lake for many reasons.
The first reason is that while boating you will need to keep an eye out for shallow areas and small islands that pop up when the water is low. If you are not familiar with the lake you can easily run aground.
The second reason to carefully watch the lake levels will be for adjusting your dock. Moving your dock in and out with the water level is very important or your dock will quickly become dry docked. These are just a few concerns but very important.
